Welcome to the
NJ Field Hockey Association
Welcome!
The New Jersey Field Hockey Association (NJFHA) was established in 1927. It is an adult women’s field hockey league that is open to players 18 years old (out of High School) and older. We currently offer women the opportunity to play Fall, Winter & Spring seasons and some occasional Summer / Co-Ed opportunities as well.

DEB DE LUCCA
PRESIDENT
I played field hockey at Kittatinny Regional High School. Had an amazing coach, Linda Crawn. Didn't play in college. Just started playing again about 8 years ago. I was on the board in charge of Public Relations for 4 years and President for the last 2. Looking forward to many more!!
The best piece of field hockey advice I've ever been given is: The ball moves faster up the field by itself. PASS!!! ALSO, when you don't have the ball EVERYONE is playing defense.
If I could invent a holiday, it would definitely involve Field Hockey, cats, music and food.
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be:
Eat as much as I wanted and stay in perfect shape.

ICE PRESIDENT
I've been a member of NJFHA for 20+ years now, which is crazy because I am only 25, ha!
I've been on the board for 6 years, started as Equipment Manager then moved to VP.
The best piece of field hockey advice I've ever been given is: Get low.. and look up!
If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd start....my computer to book the most expensive/lavish vacation.
If I could invent a holiday, it would definitely involve: Lots of snow & semi-competitive activities. A winter field day..
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be: Running or exercising without ever getting tired.
When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be BATMAN! when I grew up.
When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be... when I grew up. A Dentist

FRANKIE PIGNATARO
VICE PRESIDENT 2
I recently joined NJFHA this year. Been enjoying playing in the leagues and getting to know our field hockey community better. I have a background playing for Rider University, managing the Rutgers University field hockey team, and coaching grassroots hockey for the Centercourt field hockey club.
In another life, I'm pretty sure I was: A baker! I always love trying new recipes.

How long have you been in NJFHA: since 2002
The best piece of field hockey advice I've ever been given is: don't play to not make mistakes.
If I could invent a holiday, it would definitely involve coffee.
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be reading.
When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be a writer when I grew up.

First question: How long have you been in NJFHA. 15 years. A million different locations - Kean, Montclair, Bernardsville, MBS, Drew, FDU... played in college and Amy Ottavinia brought me into the league. AMY COME BACK! It's a great group of women - the perfect balance of competitiveness and pressure!
The best piece of field hockey advice I've ever been given is don't argue with the refs. Once you've been a ref, you realize how hard it is. You respect the game more. If I could invent a holiday, it would definitely involve Christmas in the summer. I love Christmas and I love summer so I'd merge the two! I'm known to play some Christmas music while doing dishes in the middle of summer.
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be the ability to exercise in my sleep. I love working out but I also love sleep and sometimes it's hard to do it all.
When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be teacher when I grew up. Look at me now!
